Cycling for Cystinosis 2010 Results
Cycling for Cystinosis 2010 was a huge success with great weather, great food and INCREDIBLE fundraising. A big thanks to all of those that participated, volunteered, sponsored and donated! Without the support of all of you we wouldn’t be getting closer to a cure for Hank.
This year we had 92 bike riders and 2 runners that traveled 9,742 miles to support 24 Hours for Hank. The winner Jacob Styer rode 361 miles. Seven riders rode over 300 miles including Greg Helbring, who lost 5 cousins in the early 1970’s to Cystinosis. Chuy Fragoso set a personal challenge of running for 24 hours and at the end had accumulated 120 miles which raised nearly $8,000. When all was said and done at 11:00am on Sunday we had raised more then $33,000 for Cystinosis Research. In just two years, the 24 Hours for Hank foundation has raised more than $200,000 toward a cure for Cystinosis with your help.
Riders could choose to race solo or build a team. Each lap in the ride was 19 miles long with little elevation gain.
It was up to the teams and individuals to decide how many laps each person rode.
